YouTube to Share Revenue with Creators

YouTubeのCEOChad Hurleyがパネルディスで話した内容がYouTubeに掲載された。
いわく、
１）ユーザがアップした動画の中の音楽を認識し、レーベルが課金できるようにする
２）動画制作者に対してレベニューシェアをする方向性で考えている（ただし金銭ではないかも）

In terms of paying users revenue against the content that they’re
uploading, we’re definitely going to move
in that direction, but we
didn’t want to build a system that was motivated by monetary reward, we
wanted
to build a true community around video. When you start out with
giving money to people from day 1,
they’ll just switch to the next
provider…that’s paying more. so we feel that we’re at a scale now that
we’ll
be able to do that and really be able to have a true community
around video.
まあYouTubeでどれだけのキックバックがあるかはわかりませんが
Revverを使うインセンティブはなくなるなあ。。。
同じ映像をアップしても明らかにYouTubeの方がたくさんPVがあるし
どこにも紹介していなくてもコメントやらsubscriberやらメールやらがきて
知らない人とのコミュニケーションが面白い。
昔自分のホームページで掲示板を作っていたのだけれど、あのときの感覚。
全く知らない人からBBSに書き込みがあってオフ会をしたときの楽しさの如く、
今は全く違う国の全く知らない人がアップしたビデオを見てコメントやメールをくれる。
