Blog Action Day

So... I think I should write this post in English,
as this blog is registered to Blog Action Day Blogs.

Today is the day... and it seems that there are 15,861 blogs that are participating,
and the combined rss reach of blogs are 12,697,713.

Amazing.

So personally speaking, one of the issues that I'm concerned is Stop-Rokkasho.

Rokkasho mura is a village in Japan's northern Aomori Prefecture
and a nuclear reprocessing plant has been constructed there.

This reprocessing plant creates Plutonium by recycling the waste  of existing nuclear power plants,
but when this plutonium is created,
it also creates radioactivity worth 1 year of the nuclear power plants within 1 day.

Now, where do those waste go?

They build a big pipe and omit them to the air and ocean.
A tall chimney and a long pipe 4km long.

INSANE.

Ryuichi Sakamoto launched stop-rokkasho.org to stop this.
Because "stop" seems to have a negative image, he also started "more trees" project.

One of the things he recommends you to do is to use the CO2 calculator
and check out how much CO2 you are omitting and how you can fix that.

I am planning to visit Rokkasho-mura the end of this month.
My mom started to work against Rokkasho too.
My sister lives in Aomori prefecture (not Rokkasho though).
